Film Scenario

This is a documentary special that will be co-produced by a professional film team along with students from Napa's New Technology High school, who will apply their youthful energy and perspective to bring a new look to the production. "Napa - Changing Times" is based on the five-part structure summarized below.

  Introduction... 

Using a chronological framework, the first part introduces the audience to the program and its concept of American community change. Old photos, film clips and interviews of longtime residents, community leaders and other key players will provide an even stronger foundation for the pending exploration of American change experienced within Napa County.

  The Cause... 

The second part details the causes that inspired change, such as the redevelopment of land, and the revitalizing of the agricultural industry.

  The Process...

The third part examines the processes of change, the audience experiencing the stories of resistance and resolutions from those who were there.

  The Results...  

The fourth part presents the results of change -- the discoveries, the lessons, and more ideas for the future.

  Review & Summary... 

The fifth and final part restates the film theme showing off beautiful Napa County's sights and sounds.

This film is an audio-visual experience that offers its audience an opportunity to better understand the inevitability of change, and will help them realize that change can produce a positive difference in their own community.
