Denver's
Street Railways Volume I
by Don Robertson, Morris Cafky, E.J. Haley
Sundance Publications Ltd.
"I
look at this series of three books as form of art. My fondest
childhood memories are of the trolley cars that my
father and
grandfather (president of the Denver Tramway
Corporation) ran in my childhood home of Denver,
Colorado. I began writing this series of books and collecting
photographs when I was 15 years old."

Nocturne
©
2003 by Don Robertson
Silver
canopy,
The moonlit night,
Across the sky, in mid-July,
A gorgeous sight.
The
fine thin air,
The bold warm strokes
Of distant oars, on Lac Leman,
The happy folks.
I
drink the coolness of the breeze
That stirs above my head
Then sinking 'neath the moonlit sky
I gaze at stars instead.
As
laughter gently
fills the night
And echoes through the air,
The sound of luscious lapping waves
Frees my mind from care.
Soon
'round me
crickets sing
A pastoral symphony,
And the happiness of childhood dreams
Feels like home to me.
But
when cold darkness climbs its peak
And voices all are stilled
With sounds of nature sleeping
My day that night's fulfilled.
